MEET SHAPPY
Born in the belly of a pandemic, Shappy Pretzel Co. started as a homesick craving. Actor Adam “Shappy” Shapiro, a proud Philly native, was locked down in L.A. and missing one thing more than anything: a hot, salty, Philly soft pretzel. Not finding the real deal on the West Coast, he rolled up his sleeves, dusted off his childhood memories, and started baking in his own kitchen.
The pretzels were first shared with neighbors, then with the world—thanks to a well-timed TV moment with wife Katie Lowes and her co-host Ryan Seacrest, who took one bite and launched the brand into the national spotlight. From driveway pop-ups to the Oscars, this was no fluke. It was Philly magic—kneaded by hand and delivered with brotherly love.
Shappy Pretzel Co. has become a delicious bridge between coasts—feeding cravings, fueling memories, and starting new traditions in places that didn’t even know they needed Philly pretzels.
With pretzels now available daily in LA, shipped nationwide on Goldbelly, and showing up at some of the biggest events in town, we’re not just selling snacks—we’re spreading comfort, connection, and culture.
Shappy Pretzel Co. is a vibe. A memory. A hug from home.
And yeah—it’s the best damn pretzel you’ve ever had.
Do get it twisted. Go Birds!
